Labor went fairly smoothly. It's definetely true that no one can really describe what it is like...what an experience!!! Prior to, I had heard that women typically forget the details of the pain and labor, and I can truly attest to that. I 'm having a hard time recalling exactly all the contractions up until Nate was born! Funny how your body and mind work!
Nate was 8 lbs .03 oz, 20 inches long, and incredibly healthy! It was the greatest sound hearing him cry for the first time, mom and dad were left speechless and in tears. Holding him for the first time was the most incredible feeling, all these months of waiting, and finally getting to hold the most precious thing in the world was inspiring and incredibly elating. We love this little man!!!!
I am so proud of my wonderful husband, and incredibly grateful for all his support throughout the entire pregnancy and birth. He was all I wanted and needed throughout it all....I couldn't have done it without him. I am so blessed to have these wonderful, handsome men in my life!
Kari and Tim stayed the remainder of the week to help out, and boy did they help Trav and I catch up on sleep!!! It was wonderful having them here, and seeing Bestamor and Grandpa with their grandson. Boy did we get a ton of pics!! My parents, Jim and MaryAnn are in town this week also helping out! I can't say thank you enough for all their help. I love having them here, and loving seeing little Nate in their arms. It's absolutely wonderful having family around for this momentous and beautiful time in our life. Thank you for all your love and support!!!!
